This Health and Safety Policy outlines our commitments and the measures we take to maintain a safe workplace.

The objectives of this policy are to:

2. Responsibilities:

Management Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

  • Provide necessary resources to implement and maintain this policy.

  • Conduct regular health and safety risk assessments.

  • Ensure all employees receive appropriate health and safety training.

  • Investigate any accidents or incidents and implement corrective actions.

 

Employee Responsibilities:

  • Follow all health and safety procedures and guidelines.

  • Use provided safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.

  • Report any hazardous conditions, accidents, or near misses to management immediately.

  • Participate in health and safety training and initiatives.

  • Take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others.

 

3. Health and Safety Procedures

Risk Assessments:

  • Regularly conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards.

  • Implement measures to control and mitigate identified risks.

  • Review and update risk assessments periodically or when significant changes occur.

Training and Education:

  • Provide comprehensive health and safety training to all employees.

  • Ensure employees are informed about potential hazards and safe work practices.

  • Keep training records and ensure refresher training is provided as needed.

Accident and Incident Reporting:

  • Establish a clear procedure for reporting accidents, incidents, and near misses.

  • Investigate all reported incidents to determine causes and prevent recurrence.

  • Maintain records of all incidents and corrective actions taken.

Emergency Procedures:

  • Develop and communicate emergency procedures for fire, medical emergencies, and other potential situations.

  • Conduct regular emergency drills to ensure preparedness.

  • Ensure emergency exits and first aid kits are easily accessible and well-marked.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

  • Provide appropriate PPE to employees based on risk assessments.

  • Train employees on the correct use and maintenance of PPE.

  • Regularly inspect and replace PPE as needed.

 

4. Health and Wellbeing

  • Promote a healthy work-life balance for employees.

  • Continuously seek to improve health and safety practices and performance.

  • Ensure it is accessible and available at all work sites.
